Frequently asked questions

Do Maltipoos Bark a Lot  ?
No , they generally dont bark alot . While dogs do communicate via tag wagging, body positioning and even such things as eye contact and lip licking, barking will always be a canine's main method of communication. Sometimes a Maltipoo will bark a lot in an attempt to convey a need and other times the dog is essentially speaking to himself as barking will be a way to release frustration. Let's look at the top causes of barking:
1) Barking for Attention
2) Barking due to Boredom
3) Barking due to fear/ stress, nervousness

The main this is identifying the reason why they bark and trying to establish a safe and reliable where they can feel comfortable and happy . Creating a happy environment for your Maltipoo can be found in our book we will provide to each buyer.
Maltipoo Size and how big they get when fully grown ?
Adult Maltipoos can range in size from a tiny 3 pounds (1.36 kg) to a sturdy 20+ pounds (9 kg) with heights generally ranging from 6 to 14 inches (15.24 to 35.56 cm). But according to our experience and  a comprehensive study involving 1,973 adult Maltipoos, the majority are between 7 and 13 pounds (3.1 and 5.8 kg). At this weight range, the height (from floor to top of the shoulder blades) will typically range from 8 to 12 inches (20.32 to 30.48 cm).
Are Maltipoos Good with Children ?
Maltipoos are generally good with kids . Loving and gentle, the Maltipoo gets along with kids. But because small Maltipoos could easily be injured, they're only recommended for families with kids because even when they are old , they still behave and love to play just like children .
As with any dog, always teach children how to approach and touch your Maltipoo, and supervise any interactions between dogs and young children to prevent any biting or ear pulling from either party. Maltipoos generally get along with other dogs and pets, whether or not they're raised with them.

Why do Maltipoo Lick so Much?
This is a great question, because while each dog is very different, some will lick so much that it can become a huge problem. In regard to a Maltipoo licking his owner, this is due to 2 things: Attempting to gain attention and the flavor of salt that a dog tastes when licking skin.
With this said, a Maltipoo licking may be a formed habit that may be resolved with distraction and access to a wide range of interesting toys. In addition, licking may be a nervous habit, often done when the dog is left home alone or is feeling vulnerable in new situations. It can even develop in high noise level households in which the dog is unable to relax.
Are they Healthy  ?
They are all healthy and have taken all shots and vaccination till date . As a matter of courtesy and assurance for our buyers , after you have been approved for a Maltipoo puppy and you have selected the perfect puppy, the puppy will undergo an industry-leading health examination. This health exam  has 20 criteria and must be signed off by a certified and licensed veterinarian. The puppy must have an A+ grade before it goes home. This protects you, the puppy buyer from receiving a puppy that is less than perfect. We strongly encourage you to complete the  health exam with your local veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving your new puppy
Do we own the parents
Yes we own all parents. Maltipoos are not a dog breed really, they are a cross between a Maltese and Poodle. Known for being affectionate and fun-loving Maltipoos are so lovable. We own both the Maltese and Poodle.
Do you ship puppies and is it safe ?
this is the most frequent question we get especially because we get many out of state buyers and had to develop a strategy to accommodate for them . To answer this question , yes we ship our puppies and it is very safe . This is a very sensitive topic when it comes to the buying process of a puppy and we make sure that we approach it with all the care in the world. Firstly most breeders use common airlines to transport their puppies out of state which is kept in the cargo section .We think this is very traumatic and inhumane for the puppy so we don't do that . We use independent puppy transportation companies that are dedicated to only transporting pets , this comes with a little higher cost but we prefer to take this approach because the puppy is the main attention  the company gives . They are provided food and someone actually flies with them to their destination . We vet the transportation companies well before putting any puppy onboard and have had an amazing experience so far.
Are they maltipoo  hypoallergenic ?
The answer to this very popular question, “Are Maltipoos Hypoallergenic?” is not a simple one. Yes, the Maltipoo breed does have hair instead of fur, which  is the reason for being hypoallergenic. Also, Maltipoos are said to be non-shedding. However , the coat will shed any dead hairs and replace with new ones just like the skin. This happens at a much slower rate than dogs with fur so there will be less dead hairs around the house to cause allergic reactions. So when this is happening , you should clean the house and take more regular showers to avoid allergies as it may take 2-3 days for the dead hair to fall off .
Are they Potty trained ?
Yes they are . However when they change their  change environment, there are few steps you have to take for them to get familiar with your household.
*Allow only 10 minutes and below per potty trip.
*Pick a spot and stick with it .
*Always keep a close watch .
*Don't raise your voice at them .
*Reward your pooch when he/she releases on the right area.
* Always Cheer he/she up when returning home.
if you take this few steps , your new puppy will be familiar in your environment within a week of receiving the puppy.
Can They Adapt to a new Name ?
Yes they can adapt to a new name.
